Surfing Experiences

 

Experience a new way to enjoy the water with our surfing experiences. Surfing is a great way to get fit and have fun at the same time and, although a tricky skill to master, once you do have the hang of it you’ll wonder why you never tried it before, as you get the competitive buzz, wanting to stay on the board as long as possible and always looking for your next wave to hit and see how long you can stay on next time. Not only that but surfing is great for your core muscles and building up your strength, as well as improving your confidence in the water.

For any watersport there are a few things you should bear in mind. First is that you will need to be completely comfortable in large bodies of water and be able to swim. With surfing you should understand that you will fall in multiple times before you get the hang of it and you must be confident in the water to really enjoy your experience. You should also have a sense of adventure and be ready to try anything, and really give it a go when you do so that you get the most you can out of your experience.

When you arrive for your experience you will be greeted by a trained instructor who will talk you through what you are going to be doing step by step and introduce you to the art of surfing. You’ll try out a few moves on the sand, learning how to ‘pop up’ on the surfboard, how to bodyboard along a wave until the right moment comes to stand up and even how to swim out to the right place whilst on your surfboard. Once you feel confident you’ll head out to the water and get your turn to practice everything you have learned on the water.

Or treat yourself and a friend to a surfing adventure and plan a whole day around it, finishing off your experience with dinner or drinks so you can talk to your companions about your experience, and start planning your next day out!
